To say Josh and Brooklyn Hansen keep busy is an understatement. They run two businesses in Worland, Amish Origins and Bomber Mountain Barbell Club at Badlands Fitness, and have two children, ages 11 and 9. They’re active in the local Rotary Club and their church’s youth program, and Brooklyn coaches the cheer team.

Big fans of outdoor activities, the couple even has their own motocross track, which may be a small reason why they decided to call Worland home. But the main reason was a desire to return to where Brooklyn grew up after Josh completed his 6.5 years in the Air Force. They wanted to raise their family in Worland.

Brooklyn’s father founded Amish Origins 10 years ago, and it’s been a family business ever since. Amish Origins currently produces seven products in Worland including Deep Penetrating Pain Relief Ointment. Since Josh has a graduate degree in health and human performance, he was well suited to take over running the company.

After Josh joined the Amish Origins team, they began looking for a larger building for the warehouse and production facilities. Thanks to LeAnn Baker, Executive Director of the Washakie Development Association, and Nikki Donahue with Hake Realty, they were able to find a 3.5-acre property with two buildings that met their needs.

Amish Origins ships products throughout the United States and to the Netherlands, where people appreciate the company’s Pennsylvania Dutch background, and these products are sold in 4,500 different stores. Although their Wyoming footprint is small, Amish Origins can successfully reach a larger customer base through its ecommerce business, especially due to high-speed internet from Range.

When Amish Origins moved to its new building, Josh explored the area’s internet options and reached out to the local Range Business Solutions Specialist, Tobi Johansen. Ultimately, Josh selected Range for business phone and internet services, partly because he was able to easily reach a real person to discuss the unique needs and challenges of Amish Origins. Within a few days of the decision, the Range team was there installing internet service and a new 3CX phone system and checking to make sure Amish Origins had reliable connectivity throughout their building. Josh said, “Now that we’re Range customers, we can call or email Tobi any time to get the information and responses we need.”

The 3CX phone system brought Amish Origins into the 21st century and provides lots of modern phone abilities such as transferring calls. When they add new employees and need new phones, one call to Tobi is all it takes to get everything installed within days. In addition to the personal touch of Range service, the 3CX phone system comes with an app to enable employees to easily and seamlessly transfer office calls to a cell phone while moving about their day or traveling to another city.

Worland wants businesses to succeed, and the community loves that Amish Origins makes its products there. Josh said, “Brooklyn and I appreciate all the support that Worland gives to Amish Origins. We have a great realtor, a great internet and phone provider, and a great shipping company (Mascaro Trucking) that’s willing to work with us on national distribution.”
