Recruiting and retaining good, quality educators in rural schools is a significant problem in Montana. To help draw good educators to schools struggling to hire and retain teachers, each year BroadbandMT will award one $1,500 scholarship to a current or incoming educator who commits to teaching for three consecutive years in eligible schools in Montana. The scholarship will renew for two additional years – for a total of $4,500 over three years for each winning educator.

The objective of the WyTA Scholarship is to assist individuals who desire to further their education with a focus on telecommunications industry technical skill development. The student or student’s parent(s) or legal guardian(s) must receive telecommunication service from a participating Wyoming Telecommunications Association member.
The foundation annually awards scholarships to an exceptional group of rural students for their first year of college or vocational school. All applicants require partnership with an NTCA—The Rural Broadband Association member company to be eligible. Please visit the Foundation for Rural Service for eligibility requirements and to apply.
